Transactions can be “transparent” and managed by a t-addr, similar to bitcoin transactions, or they can be a form of zero-knowledge proof called zk-SNARKs, in which case they are “shielded” and controlled by a z-addr. Most cryptocurrency wallet programs did not support z-addrs at the time, and no web-based wallets supported them. As of December 2017, only about 4% of Zcash coins were in the shielded pool; at the time, only about 4% of Zcash coins were in the shielded pool. [6] The protection of the shielded pool of Zcash coins was investigated further, and it was discovered that heuristics-based recognizable patterns of use would significantly reduce the anonymity collection. [7] Professor Matthew Green of Johns Hopkins and some of his graduate students started working on Zcash in 2013. [5] The for-profit Zcash Company, led by Zooko Wilcox, a Colorado-based computer security specialist and cypherpunk, completed the production. [5] To complete the creation of Zcash, the Zcash Company raised over $3 million from Silicon Valley venture capitalists. (5)

The ECC (ECC) cryptocurrency is a digital currency. The estimated stock of ECC is 24,999,999,999.983. ECC’s last known price is $0.000105 USD, which is down -2.85% in the last 24 hours. The average estimate for a production score is influenced by a variety of factors. We review the GitHub repository for operation, commits, bugs, and feedback from the developer community (forks, stars etc). There are many positive indicators that this project is actively being developed, including regular repo updates. However, there are several factors that reduce the score: very low stars, no watchers, no forks, no mentionable users, and no repo stars.
Community is often the backbone and guiding force of any project. A well-involved community will propel a project to the moon, while a disengaged community can crash into a brick wall. There are a variety of positive signs that this project has an involved and committed audience, including the large number of hashtag tweets. There are a few neutral points that should be considered, such as average gitHub account watchers. However, there are a few negative factors that lower the ranking, such as bad reddit posts and no search result count.

A draft ZIP can be submitted by anyone. The general public debates draft ZIPs until the ZIP editors approve or deny them. Currently, the Electric Coin Corporation is represented by Daira Hopwood, and the Zcash Foundation is represented by Deirdre Connolly.
The Zcash specification, as well as the software that runs the network, include decisions made during the ZIP process. When the bulk of the network adopts the update and does not break consensus, the changes are called “ratified” on-chain. (Sapling is a good example.)

The Electric Coin Company (ECC), the company in charge of Zcash production, has released a new mid-term roadmap. The roadmap’s activities and priorities are broken down into three time periods: 0 to 6 months, 6 to 24 months, and 24 to 48 months. As the ECC points out, the longer the planning cycles in these horizons, the less well developed the plans become and the more likely they are to change.
Over the next six months, the priority will be on community usability and interoperability. There will be a total of six developments and goals planned. One of them is the completion of a “fly client,” a light client for smartphones that sends and receives payments without storing or validating a copy of the blockchain (ZIP-221). The aim is to enforce ZIP-221 and get an external audit done on it.
The incorporation of shielded coinbase transactions is the second target. The first transaction in a block is a Coinbase transaction, which includes the miner’s mining reward. Coinbase transactions in Zcash can currently only have transparent outputs, meaning that block rewards can only be sent to transparent addresses. The mining incentive will now be able to be sent to shielded addresses with this update (ZIP-213). Following the implementation, an audit will be conducted.
