Steve’s primary fields of practice are corporate law, insolvency law, and industrial litigation, and he has advised several businesses on a variety of business concerns over the last thirty years. Steve is the Chair of Archer’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Insolvency Litigation Group, as well as the International Law Group.

In Salt Lake City, Utah, he also represented the creditors committee in the Mountain Crane bankruptcy proceedings. In the Southern District of New York, he led the creditors committee in a case concerning unpaid creditors on the World Trade Center I project.

The majority of the lawsuits against the company, including one for $12.64 million, are brought by creditors with Chinese mailing addresses, which the company denies. According to the filing, Frictionless World is involved in an arbitration dispute with multiple Chinese entities over violation of contract and fraud.

According to an adversary suit filed in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado on Thursday, Westminster-based Frictionless World LLC accused Changzhou Inter Universal Machine and Equipment Co. Ltd. (CIU), Zhong Lian Investment Co. Ltd. (ZL), and their associated executives of knowingly failing to fulfill production orders in order to cause Frictionless to fail and to steal its intellectual property.
Frictionless is a holding company for many outdoor products, including Dirty Hand Tools, Redback lawn-care equipment, RanchEx ranching tools, Vinsetta Tools logging equipment, and Trophy Strike ice fishing equipment. It employs approximately 20 people.
