The Global Forum’s (GF) goal is to better incorporate legal and justice issues into the development process in order to improve development effectiveness. The proposed grant would support the following GF initiatives: (a) Integration of Refugees and Asylum Seekers (INTEGRATE), a one-year policy-oriented study; (b) The World Bank’s Law, Justice, and Development (LJD) Week 2018, themed “Rights, Security, and Development; and (c) the Human-Centered Business Model (HCBM), an initiative aimed at promoting a more equitable and sustainable model of doing business.

📕 Do you know which are the best global forum on law justice and development?

The Global Forum on Law, Justice, and Growth (GFLJD) is a platform for information sharing and creative development solutions.
From the 10th to the 14th of December 2012, 97 partners joined the initiative in Washington, DC. International bodies, financial institutions, universities, and others are among the collaborators. The Global Forum on Law and Justice Development brings these partners together to explore solutions to many of the world’s issues in developed countries including law, justice, and equity.
At the opening session, Anne-Marie Leroy, Senior Vice-President of the World Bank, welcomed attendees. Hernando de Soto, President of the Institute for Liberty and Democracy, was the keynote speaker at the opening session.
The next segment of special concern was titled “The Treatment of Natural Persons’ Insolvency.” The concerns covered in the report on the treatment of natural person insolvency, which has been the subject of the World Bank Insolvency Task Force for more than a year, were discussed in this open session.

The forum will be sponsored by a web-based Information and Communication Technology (ICT) platform that will promote internal and external communication, host relevant knowledge (databases, analysis, documents, etc.) and provide convenient and free access to relevant knowledge for policymakers, development practitioners, and the general public.
The forum is divided into thematic zones, with partners clustered according to their areas of expertise. Each cluster of partners is required to collaborate across Communities of Practice (CoP), which include blogs, discussion boards, multi-media collaborative problem-solving, and professional networking.
Information will be shared publicly – for instant access (at no cost) and usage (with no limits on re-use other than attribution) – and in alternative formats for areas with limited or no internet access.
The platform will integrate knowledge product reviews by encouraging users to rate and product on a multiple-scale scale, allowing for crowd-sourced information on the usability, efficacy, effects, and effectiveness of shared knowledge products.
