🥳 Can a night owl become a morning person reddit

Clinical trials The title of my question should be self-explanatory. I’ll be beginning rotations in about two weeks, and I’m curious how you former night owls got through the ridiculously early mornings. I’ve never been someone who can get up at 6 a.m. (or earlier) and be productive. I’m pretty much a zombie before 10 a.m., even with coffee. Is this something I’ll get used to after three months, or should I accept my fate now? Please accept my apologies if this question has already been answered; I couldn’t find anything when I looked. 📕 Becoming a morning person

The perfect time for quiet reflection and introspection is early in the morning. We’ve discussed getting more sleep to prevent burnout and improve self-discipline, but this week we’ll focus on the tools that can help you achieve this more difficult-to-achieve target.
I started feeling a lot better, both mentally and physically, and I started getting more done in the morning than most people do all day. Someone would sometimes inquire as to how I accomplish this. And I have to admit, a lot of it has to do with actually getting out of bed sooner.
Going to bed at the same time every night has a number of health advantages. Set a daily alarm to get ready for bed, stick to the routine even on weekends, avoid caffeine in the evening and restrict daytime usage, get daily exercise, limit screen time at night (use f.lux to block computer blue light), and don’t smoke or drink, particularly right before bed.
If you observe step 3, this will become a lot simpler. Adjusting your sleep schedule in 15-30 minute intervals and allowing your body to adjust for 3-5 days before shaving off another 15-30 minutes is a good idea. As soon as you wake up, drink a full glass of water and place your alarm clock far enough away from your bed that you must physically get out of bed to turn it off.

When I tell people I get up at 5-5:30 a.m. every day to go to the gym before work, the first thing they usually say is, “Why?!?” followed by, “I could never do that!” Believe me, I used to be in the same boat, and despite how much I enjoyed the feeling of a good morning workout, I still struggled to find a schedule that I could stick to. After 5+ years of fitness, I’ve finally worked out a system that takes me to the gym 4-5 days a week, and I’ve never felt healthier or happier! Working out in the morning enhances so many other aspects of my life for me: I make healthy eating choices, I have more stamina, and I just feel better overall on days when I get a good pre-work sweat in. So I figured I’d share some of the tips and tricks I’ve picked up over the years that have helped me maintain consistency in my morning workout routine. I hope you find these suggestions helpful. Leave a comment below or send me a message on Instagram (@being.brigitte) if you tried either of them. Kimberly Nguyen took the cover photo.
