Brockhampton have released a new single, New Light, New Machine, from their forthcoming sixth studio album Roadrunner. The song “Count on Me” features Shawn Mendes and Ryan Beatty on vocals, as well as a co-write from A$AP Rocky (credited as Rakim Mayers).
Following “Buzzcut,” which featured Danny Brown and Brockhampton’s in-house producer Jabari Manwa, this is the group’s second single of 2021. A video directed by Kevin Abstract and Dan Streit accompanied the song.
Brockhampton will perform a special livestreamed album release show from producer Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California, to commemorate the release of Roadrunner. The livestream show tickets are on sale now.

The second single from BROCKHAMPTON’s upcoming album ROADRUNNER, NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE, has been released. “COUNT ON ME” is the title of the single, which features a variety of guests. A$AP Rocky and So Gone So Flexy both contribute verses to the song, which was written by Shawn Mendes and Ryan Beatty.
“COUNT ON ME” comes after Brockhampton’s collaboration with Danny Brown, “BUZZCUT,” which was released last month. ROADRUNNER will be released on April 9th. It will be the group’s first album since GINGER, which was released in 2019. The Kevin Abstract-led band previously released iridescence in 2018 and the SATURATION trilogy in 2017.

Shawn Mendes and Ryan Beatty contribute vocals to the track, which also features a surprise appearance from A$AP Rocky, who is also credited as a co-writer.
Kevin Abstract of BROCKHAMPTON announced the single on Thursday (April 1), calling it “Summer time vibes.” He said, “Drive around with the windows down and your best friend singing along to the chorus – this is the album’s other hand. Tomorrow, see Yal.”
The tracklist for Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine was released earlier this week. A$AP Ferg, Danny Brown, JPEGMAFIA, Charlie Wilson, and others will appear on the album, which will be released on April 9.

The song, titled “Count On Me,” features vocals from a variety of collaborators, including Shawn Mendes and Ryan Beatty, among others (who has appeared on several previous records, including the Saturation trilogy, Iridescence,and Ginger).
A$AP Rocky, who is credited as a co-writer, makes a surprise appearance on “Count On Me.” According to a tracklist for Roadrunner that was recently released, the rapper will also collaborate with A$AP Ferg on a song called “Bankroll.”
