Lowe’s Home Improvement has promoted Scott Draher, LPC to Vice President of Loss Prevention, Safety, and Operations. Prior to his most recent promotion, Scott was the Director of Loss Prevention Process and Strategy at Lowe’s.
Since joining Lowe’s in 2003 as an Area Loss Prevention Manager, he has progressed through the company’s ranks, serving as Regional Loss Prevention Director and Divisional Loss Prevention Director. Scott has worked in loss reduction for over 25 years, including stints at Pep Boys and Sears Holdings, where he began his career. He graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems and also attended San Diego State University.

When Draher and his team realized a new procedure was needed at the point of sale to ensure the safety of associates and customers, they turned to do-it-yourself skills to make it happen.
Draher said, “Protocols are just as good as your execution.” “As soon as we realized that plexiglass shields were required for social distancing, we started looking into vendors who could provide us with what we needed.” However, it turned out that some vendors were already out of stock.
He explained, “Another director and I wanted to create a solution based on what we were already selling in stores.” “We came up with a plan, installed a shield, and sent instructions to every store by that afternoon. We had shields deployed around the enterprise in two days.”
One, he said, “Never, ever jeopardize safety.” Regardless of whether it would affect revenue or shrink, a retailer can never jeopardize anything put in place to keep people safe.
