With the introduction of MicroStrategy 10 in June 2015, MicroStrategy switched to a quarterly release cycle. This proactive move has enabled us to deliver creative changes, product upgrades, and quick-fixes to you, our valued customer, in a more timely and agile manner. Because of the shorter release cycle, we’ve been able to respond to your needs more quickly. We realize that keeping up with this rapid speed and deciding when the best time to migrate to a newer version of MicroStrategy for their company can be difficult for some customers.
A “platform” update, according to MicroStrategy, is one that is well-suited for widespread customer adoption. Platform updates will be delivered every 18 months and funded for a total of 36 months, according to our estimates. A platform update will receive frequent maintenance updates and hotfixes, but no new features or functionality will be added to this particular version.
We anticipate delivering feature releases every three months and providing support for a total of six months**.
