For the past 43 years, students from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance have come together to perform for sold-out audiences at Hill Auditorium for the Collage Concert, their annual showcase.
The annual Collage Concert, held at Hill Auditorium by the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, is one of their most famous events each year. The case will be interactive for the first time in 44 years. Peter Smith Photography is responsible for this picture.
On Sunday, April 18, 8-9 p.m., YouTube will premiere “Collage 44: A Virtual Concert Experience.” The Symphony Band, University Symphony Orchestra, Department of Jazz, U-choral M’s ensembles, the cast of the opera “Proving Up,” the musical theatre class of 2024, and others will perform at the concert.
Mark Stover, assistant professor of conducting, associate director of choirs, and co-conductor of this year’s concert at SMTD, said, “Watching this Collage Concert come together has been a source of profound inspiration and testimony to the enduring and persevering spirit of our students and their artistry.” “In a year where so much has been lost, we’ve discovered how our art can be a true source of optimism and a catalyst for us to react to the situation we’re in.

Cips mena – bad buying: by peter smith

It could be with the No. 15 overall pick in the draft, or the Patriots could trade for their guy. There has been a lot of talk this offseason that the San Francisco 49ers and the New England Patriots would reach an agreement to bring Jimmy Garoppolo back to Foxborough.
When safe, Garoppolo was expected to take over for Tom Brady, and he has proven to be a winner. The primary concern, however, is his fitness, which is why NBC Sports’ Peter King does not think the Patriots would make a move for him.
Finally, I’m not convinced the Patriots would make a play for Garoppolo this season. Not at all. I’m sure Bill Belichick had to hear Bill Parcells harp on availability being more critical than talent when he was with the Giants, and I just can’t see Belichick making a major investment (in a pick and a contract) in a guy who’s missed 23 games in the last three years due to injury. Plus, if New England gets a quarterback early in the draft, they’ll have salary-cap flexibility and a promising young player, and the desire for Garoppolo will fade. If the Patriots do not sign a quarterback this year, I believe they will try Garoppolo in 2022 on the cheap. We’ll have to wait and see.
