Brent rambo [original]

Brent Rambo was a child model who appeared in an early 1990s promotional video for Apple’s laptop devices. In a similar vein to the usage of Approval Guy on 4chan, the animated GIF of Rambo giving a thumbs-up sign in the video has been combined with funny and suggestive clips as a stamp of approval on Reddit.
Apple Inc. released a promotional video for its Macintosh and Apple II products in the early 1990s. Brent Rambo, a young child, is seen nodding at a computer monitor while narrating a letter to Apple CEO John Sculley[8] in the video (shown below).
Redditor[13] phracker posted the first recorded use of the scene as a meme in the /r/mac subreddit. As of February 2020, the post “‘Nuff said” had earned over 260 points (86 percent upvotes) (shown below).
On March 25th, 2013, Redditor ToadLicker93 posted to the /r/funny[7] subreddit a post titled “Get an upvote!” that included an animated GIF of Brent Rambo nodding approvingly from the Apple promo video (shown below). “He’s a Pasadena angel,” says the narrator. “He couldn’t be sweeter,” Johnson says of the actor (Ralph Ahn) tasked with keeping Nick close and never letting go. For that pool scene, Johnson didn’t get much guidance. “All they said was, ‘Get in his arms and respond honestly.'” I’ll tell you, one of his hands was very helpful, and the other was running about aimlessly. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen an Asian man swipe your butt cheek in a hot tub, but that’s the story my face was telling.”
“I’d never moonwalked before. Do you believe I attended a moonwalking camp? No way! I’m not a good dancer. That’s why they insist on making me dance all the time. I’ll tell you something: when I was a kid, Michael Jackson was in his prime, and maybe 4-year-old Jake wore a red jacket with zippers and only wore one glove. The little boy is still close by. That little guy is constantly eating M&Ms and Snickers and hanging out at craft services with Max Greenfield, playing slap-ass. But I just let his 4-year-old feet do the talking when they said moonwalking.”

We have an Apple IIe at school, and I have a Macintosh at home. Your machines are fantastic, in my opinion. Perhaps in the future, you will be able to create a machine that can interact with animals. Perhaps even dolphins! Dolphins, in my opinion, are intelligent. In certain ways, they may be smarter than we are.
Computers, according to my father, are only instruments, and true innovation comes solely from the mind. I suppose he’s right, but what a fantastic tool a machine is! Computers are the future’s weapon. “There are no limits,” as my programming instructor likes to suggest.

The Rambo films have changed significantly over the years, from a calm, contemplative analysis of the effects of PTSD in a small town to a series of increasingly gruesome orgies of abuse, with each installment raising the body count. Despite the fact that the movies have evolved, the character has remained mostly unchanged. He’s always been a fearless, courageous, and ultimately reluctant hero.
Ben Sherlock updated this page on May 24th, 2020: Since this list was first written, another film in the Rambo saga has been released, promising to be the series’ final chapter. Although critics were unimpressed with Rambo: Last Blood, diehard Rambo fans were moved by Sylvester Stallone’s final appearance as the grizzled Vietnam vet. As a result, we’ve added a few new titles to this list, including a few from Last Blood.
John Rambo, like any other action hero, has delivered a few sassy one-liners to his foes in the past. Just having the right line to tell before killing a bad guy is cooler than killing a bad guy.
