Straight Talk phones are configured to operate with specific cell towers from specific carriers. I’m getting annoyed with the lack of information that many of these vendors have about the phones they’re selling when it comes to finding one that uses the Verizon network. If they are selling a commodity, they should know this, and some do. However, the majority of the phones I look at do not specify which cell towers they are compatible with, which reduces my willingness to bid on their item.
Straight Talk phones ending in a C, such as the LG 290C and LG 220C, are CDMA and use Verizon towers. GSM versions, such as the LG 620G and T401G, have SIM cards and run on the AT&T network. A Straight Talk CSR provided this detail.
I am not an expert on the subject, but based on my personal experience, I was able to tell the difference between which towers the phone would use by looking at the map, where red represents Verizon and blue represents AT&T. I hope this information is useful to all.

Straight talk- easy steps for adding services to your

Hi, I’m trying to sell a new plan card but don’t know where to list it. I considered selling it on eBay, but I’m worried that someone would buy it, redeem it, and then request a refund via eBay’s buyer security, which might result in me losing a lot of money. Is this something that has been done before, and if so, where did you sell it? I’m hoping that this form of post is permitted. I’m not trying to sell anything; I’m just looking for details. Thank you so much! 4 responses 100 percent upvoted by sharesavehidereport This discussion has been closed. There are no new comments or votes that can be made. Sort by the strongest.

Straight Talk is a prepaid wireless service provider that operates under the Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) model. There are a variety of monthly plans to choose from, so there is something for everyone. They also sell discounted three-month, six-month, and 12-month plans.
Straight Talk does not always accept refunds for purchased plans or SIM card and phone returns. Your refund request’s success rate is determined by when and how you purchased Straight Talk monthly plans, fixed or unlimited data plans, and phones.
If you purchased a Straight Talk phone or service from a store or a wireless distributor rather than Straight Talk directly, you must review their return policy and Terms of Service to see if you are eligible for a refund.
You have 30 days from the day your phone was sent to you to return it for an exchange or a refund if you purchased it from Straight Talk’s website. You must obey the return instructions included with your phone, pay for delivery, and return it to Straight Talk.

Straight talk is intended to be a no-strings-attached operation. For my children, I purchased iPhones (which I paid for in full) and straight talk kits. Straight talk is refusing to open the phones now that I want to switch providers. We were advised that we will have to use them for a period of 12 months with their service provider. But essentially, they lock you into using just their plan for over a year until you pay them over $150 to get out of a deal you never agreed to. Do not use straight talk, I repeat, do not use straight talk. I shouldn’t have to pay their company to unlock phones that I already paid for in full to avoid getting locked into a deal. I might have gone to AT&T or whoever else and signed a real 12-month contract with better service if I had known this. If you unlock your phone with one of their starter kits, they can trick you into sticking with their service provider. Never, ever again!
This is something I’ve talked about in a lot of my posts and videos. However, I’d like to have some background here. Straight Talk offers a variety of iPhone models. Some of their iPhones are full retail price, while others are discounted and sell for hundreds of dollars less than Apple’s full retail price. Apple’s full-price tablets, on the other hand, are unlocked and can be used with any carrier. Straight Talk’s iPhones are all locked before you follow the terms of their unlocking agreement, which effectively specifies that you must use the phone with their service for a year.
