Spring has arrived! This year is still full of obstacles, but we are hopefully nearing the end of the virus’s reign. I hope you are all doing well. Unfortunately, the virus has caused some supply chain disruptions. Some shipments are taking longer than normal to arrive, while others are still unavailable. Also, both incoming supplies and outgoing orders are experiencing some delays in delivery. As a result, lead times for products can be slightly longer than indicated. Please contact me if you need anything immediately, and I will confirm availability and lead time. I’m doing everything I can to update orders that could be delayed due to supply/availability issues.
As previously mentioned, depending on what I have in stock at the time of your order, some products are available to ship faster than others. Due to a variety of factors, including stock, backorders, and particularly HEAVY ordering times, some may take a little longer than “estimated.”

I couldn’t have done a better job of introducing “the crème de la creme” of the pastry world! We adapted this special and traditional Bulgarian recipe, known as TIKVENIK in Bulgaria, to make it healthier, lower-calorie, and more wholesome. SPELT was used in place of wheat flour, and coconut sugar and honey were used for sweetness.
Autumn is the season of brightly colored pumpkins, and Tikvenik is baked in almost every Bulgarian family’s kitchen. Locals in the Rhodope mountains, where I grew up, can’t wait to pick up their homegrown pumpkins, which aren’t just perfect Halloween decorations, but also have a high nutritional value. In one of the restaurants on the slopes of the beautiful Pamporovo ski resort, I still enjoy the spicy warming taste of my first slice of Tikvenik.
In Bulgaria, the Pumpkin Pastry or, more specifically, its variants, date back centuries. They are based on the customs and culture of the Slavs, who ruled Central and Eastern Europe from the 2nd century BC to the 10th century AD, including Bulgaria. It’s one of eight vegetarian dishes served at a Bulgarian Christmas Eve dinner table.

We’ve heard some truly amazing stories in recent years, from the inspiration that began their journey to learning the nuances of blogging to earning enough for a car payment, a trip to Disneyland, or even a full-time income.
Jack and Lisa Barberette took one such trip that resulted in results that far exceeded our wildest expectations. Their website, PumpkinLady.com, is a Halloween-themed resource for free digital pumpkin carving templates and craft ideas for the whole family.
Pumpkin Lady traffic starts to pick up in late summer and peaks in early-to-mid fall, much like the foliage across much of the United States. Ads must be designed to maximize earning opportunities in order to take advantage of seasonal traffic.
They have worked hard to lengthen their posts and marginally increase the font size to maximize in-content advertising real estate and enhance user experience. Before their busiest season, Jack and Lisa updated over 70 entries.

Tessa Farr, the pumpkin patch’s owner, joked, “I called myself the mad pumpkin lady.” “I create the designs myself, and others are based on stuff I’ve seen others do that I’ve modified.”
Farr said Halloween is her favorite holiday, so she wanted to get into the spirit by making the jack-o’-lanterns. Her antics started last year, when she created 42 pumpkins, and her collection continues to expand.
Farr drew the pattern in pencil on each pumpkin before carving it into jack-o’-lanterns with an X-acto knife. Josh, her husband, and their three children, Drexel, 7, Cici, 5, and Cosette, 1, joined in the fun and made their own designs. Farr said she uses foam to create her designs because animals actually eat real pumpkins, and she doesn’t want her hard work to go to waste. A design can take anything from 20 minutes to two hours to complete, depending on how complex it is, so she doesn’t want it to go to waste. She keeps them in a loft in her garage and the family’s basement when the season is over.
