📃 Unity pixel perfect ui

However, after I upgraded to LWRP/URP and started using 2D Lights (my game has a day/night cycle), all of my sprites have had to be upgraded to a new Sprite-Lit-Default content, which allows the 2D Lights to affect them. The only flaw in this new material that I’ve found is that it lacks a “Pixel Snap” option:
And after using this new content, I’ve noticed that some of my sprites (particularly those on the Tilemaps) have started to tear. It’s not game-breaking, and it just happens once in a while, but it’s extremely irritating (and, let’s face it, it makes your game look bad).

Although Unity is a fantastic engine, there are a few drawbacks when working on 2D games. This is particularly true when attempting to create beautiful pixel art games. I’ve decided to start a series on how to improve Unity’s 2D growth. The first post discusses snapping objects to the 2D pixel grid to eliminate some of the rendering artifacts that occur when moving sub-pixels. This is useful in Unity since it allows you to transfer points using floating point coordinates rather than exact pixel values. If you have any questions, please post them here or in the comments, and I’ll do my best to answer them as soon as possible. http://nielson.io/2015/08/the-pixel-grid-better-2d-in-unity-part-1 nielson.io/2015/08/the-pixel-grid-better-2d-in-unity-part-1 nielson.io Edit: Added a GIF to show sub-pixel camera movement issues more clearly. 😗 Unity pixel snap not working

Upscale Render Texture fixes the problem with spinning sprites, but I figured it would fix it all by itself, and that the gameobjects’ positions would be free to not snap to pixels, which I thought was a little silly at the time… This, of course, is not the case; which is fantastic.
I avoided Upscale Render Texture because it said that “Pixel Snapping (only available when’Upscale Render Texture’ is disabled)” – but they obviously meant the environment, not that pixel snapping would not function. Unity has a perplexing name…
