Tap that app: pay back your friends with venmo
Despite some negative feedback I’ve read, I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Venmo! I opened my account with the intention of just using it to submit rent money to my landlord, but then I decided to test out the debit card, which is also fantastic! I had no money for lunch at work and payday was just a day away, so I swiped my Venmo debit card to see if it would work, and it did! I checked the app, and it appears that Venmo can deduct $10 from your bank account in increments of $10, even if your bank account is empty, which I love! But don’t gamble it if you don’t expect to be paid within a day, because the money would be deducted from your bank account (at no cost!). However, if you don’t put enough money in your account to cover what Venmo took from your bank the next day, your bank will charge you fees, but I got paid on Thursday, so my direct deposit hit before Venmo took it! So thank goodness I had “a borrow” in a hurry to get my lunch! Then I paid back the money until it was credited to my bank account (I paid for the things on Tuesday night, and Venmo took the money out of my bank on Thursday) and (knock on wood) I haven’t had any issues like other reviewers on here! Thank you, God! Venmo is a fantastic service. Believe it or not, unlike most prepaid cards/apps, I haven’t seen any fees at all.

Venmo is a mobile app that allows you to pay, receive, and request money from your friends and contacts. When you owe money to somebody but don’t want to or can’t use cash, this is a way to pay off your debt. Simply enter the amount you want to send them in the application, and it will take care of transferring it to their account through electronic transfer.
Once you’ve downloaded and configured your Venmo account, you’ll need to choose your payment method, whether it’s using your Venmo balance, a credit or debit card, or a US bank account. After that, you can send money to one of your contacts by entering the amount you want to send and selecting the user.
If the recipient does not use the app, he or she may receive a text message or an email asking them to enter information from their bank account or debit card in order to deposit money. If you have the app, you can withdraw money and deposit it into a linked bank account, or you can keep the money in the app for future transactions.
