The New York Times reported the latest in what has been described as a months-long avalanche of reports about CBS’s toxic workplace on Thursday evening. Eliza Dushku, who joined the famous CBS procedural drama Bull in 2017, was regularly abused by the show’s lead actor Michael Weatherly, according to the New York Times. Dushku’s hoped-for role as a series regular vanished when she told Weatherly how offended she was by his actions — she claims he commented on her appearance, made a rape joke during filming, and proposed they have a threesome with another cast member — and her character was written off the show.
The details of Dushku’s ordeal are both shocking and unsurprising, and it’s only one of many allegations of heinous behavior at CBS, which extends from Les Moonves all the way down to 60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager, NCIS: New Orleans showrunner Brad Kern, Star Trek: Discovery showrunners, comedy exec Vinnie Favale, and Criminal Minds director David Chase. The problem with CBS’s toxic culture isn’t just the harm it’s done to the people who have been hurt behind the scenes — mainly women. The issue extends to the stories it tells, which are followed by millions of people.

The episode began a few days ago and ended a few days later. Claire and Randy decided to marry on the spur of the moment while on their holiday. Claire demonstrated this to her aunt as they boarded their plane to return home in Thailand. When Claire’s boss called, Randy threw their belongings in the overhead and sat down.
Mr. Greene, Claire’s boss, decided to make them a ring, she told Randy. And when a considerate passenger (big hint here) struck up a conversation with Claire a beat later, the real culprit was revealed.
Bull (Michael Weatherly) and Diana worked for the husband and wife, but they were determined to work together as a team, much like Claire and Randy, to make a good impact on the courts and jury. So we’ve got two teams working on the case.
Diana Lindsay was one of Bull’s more interesting guests during the season. When she came to town, her on-again, off-again relationship with Jason Bull still made for entertaining television.
When Bull and Diana reunited in the courtroom, Diana remarked that there was “less of him” this time. As she was reflecting on her weight loss, she was also hinting that things would be different this time. So there was dread when Diana invited Bull for a drink after arraignment, and Bull accepted with just a smidgeon of hesitation.
